Rising basketball star moves to Panathinaikos
Rising local basketball star Stratos Perperoglou has moved to Panathinaikos, the European and Greek champion, his previous club Panionios said yesterday. The 23-year-old forward, who spent three seasons with Panionios, averaging 11.8 points and 3.5 rebounds last season, signed a three-year deal. Panionios will reportedly receive 700,000 euros and Panathinaikos’s Dusan Sakota. Vassilis Xanthopoulos may also be included in the deal.
