Olympiakos demolish Prokom Trefl
Olympiakos overpowered Polish visitors Prokom for a 109-65 win in a fifth-round Euroleague Group C game last night. The win improved Olympiakos’s record to 3-2 in the group. European champions Panathinaikos, undefeated at the top of Group C along with Real Madrid, were scheduled to meet French champions Chorale Roanne, away, later last night. Aris, joint second in Group C, hosts Milano tonight. Meanwhile, the country’s top basketball clubs have avoided meeting in the Greek Cup’s quarterfinals, in a draw held yesterday. Panellinios will be at home to Panionios, defending champions Panathinaikos will be hosted by PAOK, AEK will confront Olympiakos, and Olympia Larissa will play Aris. The games are scheduled for December 22 and 23. The winners of the first two pairs will meet in the first semifinal and the winners of the other two in the second. The semifinals, knockout encounters, are scheduled for March 6.
