Fans snatch all tickets for Rangers encounter

Reflecting a growing appreciation among its fans for the team’s efforts this season, Panathinaikos has sold out of tickets for tomorrow’s UEFA Cup Round of 32 return leg in Athens against Glasgow Rangers, the club announced. The development is unprecedented for the Greek team in European competition this season. Panathinaikos hosts the Scots after emerging with a scoreless draw from Glasgow. «We hold the advantage following the first game’s 0-0 result,» said Panathinaikos midfielder Andreas Ivanschitz. «We’re convinced that we will qualify for the next round where we could meet Werder Bremen,» the Austrian international continued. The tie’s winner will most likely face Werder Bremen, 3-0 up against Braga, in the Round of 16. Also tonight, AEK, Greece’s other UEFA Cup survivor, is hosted by Getafe following a 1-1 draw in Athens.
