Best of 2008…

Greece striker Dimitris Salpigidis (left) receives the award for Best Greek Soccer Player for 2008 from Stavros Douvis, general secretary for sports. He was chosen by his colleagues at the Panhellenic Association of Professional Soccer Players (PSAP). Olympiakos keeper Antonis Nikopolidis won the award for the Best Goalkeeper, while AEK coach Dusan Bajevic won the Best Manager award for his work at Aris. There was a tie between Darko Kovacevic of Olympiakos and Ismael Blanco of AEK in the vote for Best Foreign Player, so the award was shared by the Serb and the Argentine.
