Ilisiakos and Kolossos Rhodes scored the most significant wins of the weekend in the basketball league, while the two title favorites had just another easy day. While leader Panathinaikos saw off Panionios 102-84 and Olympiakos thrashed hapless AEK 84-53, the battle for relegation took another twist yesterday with the precious 81-73 win by Ilisiakos over Trikala at home. The result does not just mean that Ilisiakos is out of the relegation zone for the first time but it has secured a better head-to-head record with Trikala, with which it is now level in points. Kavala also edged closer to safety after downing Panellinios 77-73. Kolossos took another leap toward capturing fifth spot by upsetting Maroussi 75-71 in Athens. It is followed by PAOK, which beat Peristeri 82-67. Finally, Olympia Larissa is all but relegated after losing 81-55 to Aris.
