Two windsurfers taking part in the Athens 2002 Regatta practice yesterday. The first test event for the Athens 2004 Olympics resumed yesterday after a sudden downpour canceled competition on Sunday. In the Mistral (windsurfing) class, Nikos Kaklamanakis, the gold medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, celebrated his 34th birthday by extending his lead over New Zealand’s James Wells. In the women’s 470 class, Sophia Becatorou and Emilia Tsoulfa won both races yesterday to extend their lead. The Athens 2002 Regatta ends on Thursday.
