Prison break foiled at high-security prison in Athens
Guards at Attica’s Korydallos Prison thwarted an attempted escape by two Albanian inmates early on Tuesday.
According to sources, the suspects cut bars on the windows of their prison wing but were spotted by guards in a no-go area near the prison walls.
The inmates were searched by guards who confiscated homemade hooks and a rope which they apparently planned to use to scale the prison walls.
