Mexican police sets Olympiakos’s Pulido free

The alarm for Olympiakos’s Mexican forward Alan Pulido appears to be over, as reports in Mexico in the early hours of Monday say he has been found safe about a day after his kidnapping early on Sunday.

He is said to have been liberated by police and taken to a local hospital to ensure he is 100 percent healthy after his ordeal.

Earlier reports had said his kidnappers had contacted Pulido’s family asking for ransom.

Police has reportedly intervened, and one of Pulido’s kidnappers was arrested injured.

Pulido arrived in Greece late in 2014 and joined Levadiakos, after being chased from Olympiakos for six months, and eventually moved to Piraeus last summer.
