Greece was expected to be given the go-ahead to receive a remaining 1.7 billion euro bailout tranche after a pending issue regarding the state’s arrears payments to third parties was considered closed, Greek finance ministry sources said on Friday.

Earlier in the month, a Eurogroup decision had led to the disbursement of 1.1 billion euros to Greece, instead of the full amount that stood at 2.8 billion euros.

The Euroworking Group on October 24 was expected to approve the release of the remaining 1.7 billion euros, sources added.

Sources also noted Tsakalotos and the representatives of the institutions on Friday discussed the issue of the country’s new privatization fund, whose board was expected to be appointed by the end of the year.
