Debts to state keep growing

Expired debts to the state keep growing by the month due to taxpayers’ inability to meet their obligations.

In October taxpayers left taxes of 1 billion euros unpaid, while unpaid taxes amounted to 10 billion euros by the end of that month. Add to that debts to the state from previous years and the sum soars to 92.2 billion euros.

In the first 10 months of the year the authorities conducted 108,000 confiscations of bank deposits and other assets, which means more than 10,000 each month.
