Three Albanian men, aged 25, 27 and 33, were detained in Neo Psychico, northern Athens, Wednesday in connection with a string of thefts and burglaries in the capital. According to police sources, the perpetrators were apprehended shortly after robbing a travel agency and two other businesses in the area, netting cash, computers and other valuables.
The same men are believed to be behind four other thefts in Psychico as well as others in Kallithea, south of the city center.
Police are seeking another man, also an Albanian national, suspected of having worked with the other three. The 33-year-old was also wanted by police in connection with the armed mugging of an employee of a cash-in-transit company in Alimos, southern Athens.
