ND leader meets with Moscovici
Greek opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday met with visiting European Union’s economic affairs commissioner Pierre Moscovici in Athens.
New Democracy said talks centered on the progress of the Greek economy and, more specifically, on the problems caused by overtaxation.
According to a party statement, Mitsotakis emphasized that soaring taxes and social security contributions are placing a heavy burden on Greek taxpayers, while the left-led government is busy increasing the size and cost of the state sector.
