Members of the Rouvikonas anarchist group returned to Room 516 at Athens University’s philosophy faculty on Wednesday after being shut out by protesting university academics.
Earlier some 20 academics had formed a human chain outside the room, where the anarchist group has been holding meetings for students since last week.
Rouvikonas members re-entered the space after student-supporters threatened the academics, Kathimerini understands.
Faculty chief Eleni Karamalengou said the human chain was "symbolic," saying the state must solve the problem.
Rouvikonas has in the past few years targeted numerous government buildings, embassies and state agencies, mainly by smashing windows and throwing paint and leaflets.
The group has dismissed criticism over the stall, saying it is just one of several in the faculty. Most political parties and groups have an office or stall inside Greece’s universities aimed at recruiting students.
