Trial of Giakoumatos's wife and brother postponed

The trial of New Democracy MP Gerasimos Giakoumatoss wife and brother has been postponed until February 11.

The two were arrested in connection to the family business, a retirement home in the northern Athens suburb of Neo Psychico.

The lawmakers brother was the managing director, while his wife was the homes president.

Their lawyer, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, said on Tuesday that they should not have been arrested and that there had been unfair attempts to embroil the lawmakers in the case.

There have been no offenses and that will proved along the way, he said.
