Hellenic Exchanges SA, operator of Greece’s financial markets, said it wants to help Greek food and beverage producers enter foreign markets and make it easier to attract foreign investment into the industry.
The exchange said it is convinced by the “great potential” of the industry given the “wide availability of high-quality raw materials” and wants to help producers find partners and investors to fund their expansion.
Hellenic Exchanges is working on improving the legislative, regulatory and tax environment to make it easier to list funds on the Athens bourse, including agricultural funds, the Athens-based company said in a statement on its website on Monday. [Bloomberg]
