Greece’s Producer Price Index in Industry (PPI) rose by 1.9 percent in December compared with a year earlier, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Tuesday.
“The PPI in December 2012 compared with November 2012 recorded a decrease of 0.3 percent. The index in December 2011 had recorded an increase of 0.2 percent compared with November 2011,” ELSTAT said.
“The 12-month average index, from January 2012 to December 2012, compared with the same index of the period from January 2011 to December 2011, increased by 4.7 percent. The previous year the twelve-month average index had increased by 7.7 percent,” added the agency.
