Athens 2004 bill

Athens 2004 will be holding its events for the duration of the Games at the Athens Concert Hall (known in Greek as the Megaron Moussikis), which is located on Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, next to Eleftherias Park. All shows begin at 8.30 p.m. unless otherwise indicated, and admission is free of charge. Tonight & Tomorrow: Dance-theater performance titled «Arena Metropolity» by the Quasi Stellar dance group of choreographer Apostolia Papadamaki. (At the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall.) Sunday: Germany’s Schaubohne am Lehniner Platz and Belgium’s Les Ballets C de la B join forces to present a music/dance performance focused on medieval music. (At the Friends of Music Hall.) September 15 & 16: The innovative contemporary dance company Griffon presents «Lapland,» with choreography by Ioanna Portolou. (At the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall.) September 17: Opening ceremony at the OAKA Olympic Stadium. September 18: Composer Giorgos Kouroupos’s audiovisual performance on Odysseas Elytis’s poem «Monogram.» The music will be performed by the Orchestra of Colors. (At the Friends of Music Hall.) September 20 & 21: The Sinequanon contemporary dance company presents the performance «Secret Dinner,» choreographer by Ermis Malkotsis, Kiki Baka and Dimitris Sotiriou. (At the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall.) September 25 & 26: Artists of China’s Disabled Persons Performing Art Troupe present «My Dream.» (At the Friends of Music Hall at 8.30 p.m. on September 25 and at 11.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. on September 26.) September 28: Closing ceremony at the OAKA Olympic Stadium.
