Municipality’s events schedule

All events organized by the City of Athens for the duration of the Athens Paralympic Games will be held at the Technopolis arts complex in Gazi and they all begin at 9.30 p.m. The only exception is the concert by balladeer Alkinoos Ioannidis that will be held at the Roman Agora. September 18 & 19: Concert by disabled Canadian artists: Chin Injeti, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and founder of the soul/funk band Bass is Base; Adrian Anantawan, an acclaimed violinist who has played with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, has received numerous awards and is a spokesperson for the Child Amputee Program (CHAMP) of War Amps Canada; and Montreal-based Denis Harting, a rhythm ‘n’ blues performer and songwriter who has been playing professionally since 1993, with appearances including the New York International Music Festival of 2003. September 20: Screening of the Thessaloniki Festival award-winning documentary «May I Sprout Wings,» by Anneta Papathanassiou. September 21: Screening of the documentary «Yiannis Kouros: Endlessly on the Move,» by Ilias Yiannakakis, on the ultra-marathon recordholder. September 24: Concert with singer/songwriter Alkinoos Ioannidis (at the Roman Agora). September 25 & 26: «Mom, I’m Flying!» is a puppet-theater performance by the Prassein Aloga group, featuring disabled performers. September 27: Theater performance of the Greek play «Dafnes kai Pikrodafnes.»
