Wishes for peace and friendship
Shoko Mochizuki, the charming wife of the Japanese ambassador, sent us her Ikebana calendar for 2006. This Japanese art form is taught by masters at special centers that demand high standards. For January, a simple but lovely composition in a woven basket consists of a cloud of white gypsophila like snowflakes, a white camellia and red nandina blooms titled «Ikebono.»
