Protopsalti looking forward to triple date

«I live, breathe and exist for these three evenings,» said Alkistis Protopsalti at a recent press conference, as she began to describe her feelings about her sold-out performances at the Athens Concert Hall, tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday. The singer will not be alone on stage, however, as she will be repeating an experiment she first attempted six years ago, which was to perform with a large orchestra – at that time, with the ERT orchestra. This time round, the singer and her band are joined by the Prague Symphony Orchestra and the Fons Musicalis choir. There will be different voices and various instruments, but one sole purpose: to become a team, a bridge – in this way justifying the name of the Concert Hall series «Bridges» which the event is part of – between different songs and musical styles. And there will be many songs penned by many musicians over the three days: from Stamatis Kraounakis to Andrew Lloyd Webber, from Goran Bregovic to Thanos Mikroutsikos, from Nikos Antypas and Evanthia Reboutsika to the Buena Vista Social Club. Guiding the two musical ensembles is maestro Frantisek Preisler Jr, while Costis Constandaras leads the choir. ‘The Tales of a Voice,’ shows with Alkistis Protopsalti are on this week at the Athens Concert Hall, 1 Kokkali & Vas. OGA, in contrast, has a surplus of billions of drachmas and thus is in urgent need of an effective fund management policy.
