The Odyssey | Epidaurus | July 24-25
Director Michail Marmarinos directs Japan’s Noh theater in a production based on Book 11 of Homer’s Odyssey at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25. The cast is led by Gensho Umewaka, while the play is performed in Japanese with Greek and English surtitles. Noh is a well-known form of classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th century. The shows are part of the Greek Festival and start at 9 p.m. Tickets range from 12 to 40 euros; 5 to 15 euros reduced.
