The Paradoxes of Human Rights | Athens | June 13

The Athens Concert Hall will be the venue for a lecture titled “The Paradoxes of Human Rights: Philosophy, Politics, Psychoanalysis” on Monday, June 13, by Costas Douzinas, SYRIZA MP and director of the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities in London. The event is taking place in collaboration with the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities and is part of the organization’s “Theory at the Megaron: Philosophy, Critique, History” series. Constantinos Tsoukalas, professor emeritus, University of Athens, and president of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, will deliver an introduction. The lecture will be in Greek. Starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free of charge and distribution of admission tickets begins at 5.30 p.m.
