Yachting sector’s boost for the Greek economy
In an announcement ahead of Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni’s attendance of the Olympic Yacht Show 2023 at the Olympic Marine marina in Lavrio, southeast Attica – one of the top marinas in the Mediterranean – the Tourism Ministry on Monday noted that “the growing and exceptionally significant yachting sector has major potential and prospects for development and brings multiple benefits to the Greek economy and Greek tourism.”
The ministry has made it a strategic priority to promote yachting as growth pillar of Greek tourism, while also acknowledging the importance of the marine tourism.
For this reason, it has intensified efforts to upgrade the relevant infrastructure and services and promote Greece’s comparative advantages abroad.
