Tech-savvy Greek ministry switches to emails

?All research proposals from now on are submitted electronically and not in document form.? This is what Deputy Education Minister Yiannis Panaretos told an event organised by the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday.

Panaretos intended to use the example as a way of showing how the ministry is using innovation in education.

So what did the deputy minister essentially tell us? That the ministry has moved beyond the era of paper and discovered emails!

After all of this, it is no wonder why Greece is well behind its European peers and many other countries in the world when it comes to research and innovation and bright minds in the field leave Greece and do well abroad.
