Dijsselbloem says eurozone finance ministers ready to decide on Greek loan tranche

Euro-area finance ministers will discuss the next scheduled aid payments to Greece when they convene in Brussels later today, Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem said on Monday.

“This morning we reached an agreement within the troika,” Dijsselbloem told reporters as he arrived for the talks that begin at 3 p.m. in the Belgian capital.

“We are going to judge their progress. Based on that we may decide on a next tranche.”

The next disbursement may be divided into tranches, he said. “But whether that is necessary and helpful we will see on the basis of what the troika will present to us.”
