Central government cash balance shows deficit of 9bln euros Jan-Aug

Greece’s central government cash balance showed a deficit of 9.04 billion euros between January and August, the Bank of Greece said on Tuesday.

This was compared to a deficit 6.3 billion euros in the same period.

Between January and August this year, ordinary budget revenue amounted to 28.7 million euros, compared to 30,593 million euro in the corresponding period of last year.

Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to 38.8 million euros compared to 36.8 million euros in January-August 2012.
