A historic visit

Pope Francis visits the island of Lesvos alongside Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios and Greek Archbishop Ieronymos to highlight the plight of refugees and migrants. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras greeted the pope upon his arrival. The symbolic visit by the three religious leaders comes shortly after the European Union signed a deal with Turkey for the return of new arrivals.
