Thessaly farmers demanding immediate state compensation for losses suffered in last January’s frosts blocked the Larissa-Kozani road and NATO’s Joint Command Southcentral Europe sub-headquarters at Tyrnavos yesterday. About 600 protesters with some 200 tractors vowed to keep up their protest. Agriculture Minister Giorgos Drys said crop damage would be compensated for by April.
