The Athens Medical School might continue to attract most candidates in the third academic sector, but it is noteworthy that the first 10 candidate choices included five TEI. That the Thessaloniki Medical School is placed below the departments of Aesthetics and Physiotherapy at the Athens TEI demonstrates the turn taken by candidates, who opt for schools that offer greater job opportunities. It also shows that students preferred schools in Athens, which used to be in less demand. Indicatively, only 38 candidates put down the Biological Applications and Technology Department at the University of Ioannina as their first choice, and only 41 the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology at Thessaly University. The Patras Department of Pharmacy was chosen by only 36 students.
