Samos migrants to be moved to new camp in September
The migrant reception and identification center in Vathy on the eastern Aegean island of Samos will be closed down on September 30, the Migration Ministry has said.
According to its announcement, starting on September 20, the residents of the camp will be transferred to a new facility being built in the area of Zervos.
The new camp is being designed to be more secure, with residents not being allowed to leave the premises without authorization.
