Greece bracing for new record infections

Greek health authorities were expected to announce a new high in new Covid infections on Thursday, the fourth record in as many days, as the omicron variant of the virus sweeps through the country.
According to sources from the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) new cases could exceed 30,000, after 28,828 on Wednesday, 21,657 on Tuesday and 9,284 on Monday.
