Strong, deep earthquake at sea in southern Greece

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake has struck southwest of the island of Kythera, in southern Greece, the Athens-based Institute of Geodynamics has announced.
The earthquake occurred at 8 p.m. local at an estimated depth of 73.1 kilometers, the institute announced.
There have been no reports of damages.
