Mitsotakis, troika schedule new meeting for Thursday

A new meeting between Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and represantives of the European Union, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund – collectively known as the troika – has been scheduled for Thursday at 10 am., after the two parties met at the ministry on Wednesday.

Troika officials were also expected to visit the Ministry of Interior on Thursday.

Pending issues at the Administrative Reform Ministry was an extension for the induction of 12,500 civil servants into a so-called mobility scheme where they would receive reduced wages for a year ahead of a status review.

At the Ministry of Interior the discussion was expected to focus on matters such as possible municipal staff layoffs.
