French yacht leaves Greek island for Gaza

The French-flagged Dignite Al Karama set sail from the southeastern Aegean island of Kastelorizo late on Saturday carrying pro-Palestinian activists headed for Gaza.

The yacht, carrying 17 people including three journalists, is expected to be off the coast of Gaza by Tuesday, according to reports, despite a Greek ban on the departure of vessels from its ports planning to join an international aid flotilla and break through an Israeli blockade of Gaza.

?It is now the voice of the Freedom Flotilla, as all its (other) ships were forbidden to sail by the Greek government thereby fulfilling a clear demand by the Israeli government,? a statement by the organizers said of the French vessel.
