Bakoyannis says might leave politics

Democratic Alliance leader Dora Bakoyannis, who served as foreign minister under the previous conservative government, told Skai TV on Tuesday that she would quit politics if she does not win a parliamentary seat in the next elections.

?Nobody is irreplaceable,? she said. Bakoyannis said that she did not expect the government to call snap elections in the fall, despite its plummeting popularity, but she added that ?anything can happen in Greece.?

Bakoyannis has welcomed an agreement by euro zone leaders to support Greece, noting that the pact gave the debt-ridden country some ?breathing space? but she has insisted that the government must ?pick up the pace» in pushing through reforms that were voted through Parliament in June.
