Probe continues on Crete
The investigation into the stabbing of 21-year-old Yiannis Rousakis on Crete on Monday took a new turn Friday. According to coroner Manolis Michalodimitrakis, the victim had been immobilized during the attack, while a 2-millimeter blade was used to inflict two stab wounds to his chest.
The death followed an organized brawl between two rival groups of soccer club fans.
On Friday, a 24-year-old man accused of the murder reportedly claimed that although he did fight with someone during the scuffle, it was not Rousakis.
The 24-year-old handed over the clothes he wore on the night for lab testing.
