Corinth police chase ends with officer hurt
A police officer was hospitalized in Corinth on Wednesday after being shot by a suspect during a car chase.
The chase began after a motorist ignored a demand that he stop for an inspection and sped off, with two suspected accomplices in the vehicle.
One of the two passengers fired a gun at the patrol car during the chase, causing injuries to one of the officers, the extent of which remained unclear.
All three suspects had been wearing hoods, according to police who believe the trio had just carried out an armed robbery.
