Teacher, 55, held for multiple arson attacks
A 55-year-old senior high school teacher from Megara, west of Athens, was caught in the central neighborhood of Ambelokipi on Thursday in the act of planting a homemade explosive device under somebody?s car, police said.
The 55-year-old is believed to have planted another 20 such devices over the past two months. Most of these devices detonated, causing damage but no injuries. When police approached the suspect in Ambelokipi on Thursday, the 55-year-old threatened them with a fake pistol.
