Fresh child molesting case hits Crete
The owner of a fitness club on the Cretan port of Rethymno was detained on child molesting charges on Thursday. The 47-year-old man is being accused of sexually molesting young girls.
During his arrest the suspect injured himself with a knife and was subsequently transferred to a local hospital where he remained under armed guard.
The case is the second child molesting case to hit the island this month, following the arrest of a 47-year-old school teacher accused of sexually molesting dozens of young boys.
