Taxpayers to settle 2011 scores on January 2
Anyone who had tax affairs to settle by the end of this year will be able to do so on January 2, according to an announcement on Thursday. The Finance Ministry said that tax offices had been instructed to deal with these matters as a result of the 48-hour strike by inspectors this week.
In response to a question in Parliament, Justice Minister Miltiadis Papaioannou said that courts were expected to have processed 27,000 tax cases by the end of the year.
