Director Theo Angelopoulos in hospital
Award-winning film director Theodoros Angelopoulos was hospitalized in Athens on Tuesday after being struck by a policeman riding a motorcycle.
The 76-year-old was involved in the accident while shooting a scene for his latest film in a tunnel in the western Piraeus neighborhood of Drapetsona.
The director is known for his 1998 drama «Eternity and a Day,» which received a Palme d’Or, among other critically acclaimed films.
