Court upholds retired policeman’s life sentence
A Thessaloniki appeals court on Tuesday upheld a life sentence passed down to a 63-year-old retired police officer found guilty of shooting dead his 45-year-year-old wife in a fit of jealous rage six years ago in the northern city of Veria.
The unnamed officer shot his wife in the middle of the road outside their home following a violent argument.
