Medics say they will wait until September 3 to be paid
Doctors who work with the National Organization for Healthcare Provision (EOPYY) have decided to delay their decision to suspend the provision of their services in protest at unpaid wages until September 3.
Some doctors claim they have not been paid for as long as two years, going back to when they worked for other healthcare funds, which were merged together to form EOPYY late last year.
The Athens Medical Association has already taken legal action on behalf of its members, claiming more than 570 million euros in unpaid wages for 2010 and 2011.
