Defense Ministry properties to be put on market in January

The Defense Ministry is due to publish a list next week of 1,225 real estate properties that it will make available to private investors, Deputy Defense Minister Dimitris Elefsiniotis told Parliament on Friday.

He explained that the properties belonged to the military’s three pension funds and that paperwork allowing the assets to be rented or sold would be ready from January.

He did not indicate the amount of revenues the ministry is hoping to raise.
