Former soccer club chief arrested
The former president of Olympiakos Volou soccer club, Achilleas Beos (photo), was arrested on Wednesday, following a lawsuit filed against him by lawyer Alexis Kougias, Skai reported.
According to the lawsuit, Beos allegedly threatened and insulted the prominent lawyer who is expected to appear as a witness in a trial scheduled to take place at a misdemeanors court in Athens on January 8.
At the trial, Beos is facing chages of extortion against former soccer referee, Giorgos Daloukas.
