Report on WWII reparations from Germany due on March 8

A special team at the General State Accounting Office assigned to collect data on any claims Greece may have for Second World War reparations from Germany is due to deliver its findings on March 8, Alternate Finance Minister Christos Staikouras (photo) told Parliament on Friday.

He was responding to a question from Independent Greeks MP Notis Marias, who claimed that when interest is added to a loan that the Nazis forced the Bank of Greece to provide to Germany, the amount Berlin owes Athens comes to 128 billion euros.
