Army bomb disposal unit removes hand grenade left outside pawnbroker’s in Athens

An army bomb disposal unit was called to the Athens neighborhood of Galatsi on Monday after a hand grenade was found outside a pawnbroker’s shop.

The device left outside the store on Karaiskaki Street did not go off and was taken away by army exports for a controlled explosion.

Police did not comment on the possible motives behind the incident.
