Firefighters battle blaze headed for ammunitions depot
Dozens of firemen and a fleet of water-dropping aircraft were battling a blaze on Monday that broke out in a wooded area of Elassonas, outside Larissa in central Greece, and was threatening an ammunitions depot at a military base.
Authorities evacuated residents from around the base after strong winds fanned the flames toward the installation.
