Three online gambling firms appeal commission’s shutdown decision

Three online gambling firms based in London and Gibraltar have lodged an appeal with the Greek Council of State, the country’s highest administrative court, over a decision by the Gaming Commission to shut down their operations in Greece.

The plaintiffs argue that the Gaming Commission’s decision to shut them down because they were not licensed by local authorities is illegal and violates their right as EU-licensed firms to operate online gambling services in a member state.
