Opposition leader on three-day visit to Thessaloniki
SYRIZA chief Alexis Tsipras is due to launch a three-day visit to the northern port of Thessaloniki with a public address at the city’s emblematic White Tower on Friday at 7.30 p.m.
The leader of Greece main opposition party has then scheduled a visit to the 78th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) on Saturday morning, where he will meet with the management of the trade show and with representatives of TIF workers, before a 12.30 p.m. meeting with the city’s mayor, Yiannis Boutaris.
Tsipras has also scheduled meetings with Macedonia Regional Governor Apostolos Tzitzikostas and local business representatives.
The leftist leader will wrap up his visit on Sunday with a 1 p.m. press conference at the Helexpo Exhibition Center.
